Bowman Power Group Ltd (Bowman) was shortlisted for Best Emerging Cross-Vector technology at the UK Energy Innovation Awards 2019.

The event, organised by the Energy Innovation Centre Ltd (EIC) was held in Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel on the 26th September. For the past eight years the EIC has celebrated the latest and greatest technologies that are helping to transform the energy future.

Bowman was shortlisted for their ETC 1000 energy efficiency technology and its proven benefits on internal combustion engines. ETC 1000 can deliver up to 10% extra power and 23% reduction in greenhouse emissions, with a much lower cost per kWh generated than competing technologies.

Across all their Electric Turbo Compounding (ETC) products, Bowman has generated 750GWh of energy, without burning additional fuel, and saved 400,000 tonnes of CO2, helping ease the transition from fossil fuels to renewables.

Bowman also exhibited at the event’s Innovation Safari, a showcase of cutting-edge innovations that are changing the utilities market, where they received a strong level of interest from the attendees.
